Protecting your information
You can access Teen Clinic without the permission or knowledge of your parents, guardians, teachers, boyfriends, girlfriends, friends, relatives or anyone else.
We encourage all teens to discuss their visit and decisions with their parents/guardians or their usual GP,
but this decision is entirely up to you.
Teen Clinic is committed to protecting the privacy of information that you give to us. The personal information that we collect from you (name, address, date of birth, Medicare number etc) will only be used for the purpose of providing medical services and for claims and payments, unless otherwise consented to.
The health providers that you may see are required by law to keep your visit confidential.
The Practice will not disclose personal information to any third party without your consent.
In some situations we may be required to share your personal health information with others outside of the care team. These situations would include if we think you are putting yourself or someone else in danger. This is called mandatory reporting and is a legal requirement for those working in health care.
